Titus 2:6-8 “Likewise urge the young men to be sensible. Show yourself to them an example of good works in all matters. In teaching show uncorruptness, seriousness, soundness of speech beyond reproach, in order that the opponent is put to shame, having no evil word to say about you.”
Rabbi James Byers II affectionately called by MHG ‘Rabbi II’, is an Assistant Congregational Leader who works hand-in-hand with the congregational leaders to promote the Torah and advocate for the family as prescribed by the Scriptures. He came into this walk in 2001 studying the Torah under his parents and now congregational leaders, Rabbi and Rabbis Byers. He has also studied under other teachers of the Torah such as, Rabbi Raymond Robinson of The House of God in Mocksville, NC, The late Reggie White formerly from Charlotte, NC, The late Rabbi Dominick Zangla formerly from Tennessee and Rabbi David Liebe formerly of Shema Israel Congregation in Mocksville, NC. He is constantly searching for deeper levels of ministry in the Torah. He currently serves not only as a Congregational Leader, but also as the Minister of Music for the MHG community. Along with his wife Minister Shameka Byers, Youth Minister and Assistant Congregational Leader, creatively promote the vision and mission of this great work that Yahweh has ordained in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina.
Rabbi II holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro NC. He is well versed in the Tanak and Renewed Covenant constantly teaching and implementing the lifestyle walk of the Scriptures. He and Shameka have been married 12 years and have two children of whom he adores. He was ordained as Rabbi in 2010 and has continued to pursue the deeper understanding and richness of the Word of Yahweh. He is a gifted musician, songwriter, and anointed orator; always presenting the Torah as the Gospel of Yahshuah Messiah in a more profound way; making those who hear him think outside of the box of this world.
